JENOPTIK Robot BiffProcess is a background Windows service typically installed alongside Jenoptik/ROBOT traffic-enforcement and evidence-management software. It monitors designated folders and communication channels, parses incoming BIFF data packages (such as violation records, images, and metadata), validates and normalizes their contents, and hands them off to the appropriate back‑office components. The service runs silently at startup, maintains processing queues and logs, and is configured by an administrator rather than used directly by end users. In production environments it should be allowed to run continuously with access to the required file shares and network endpoints. If found on a machine that does not use Jenoptik traffic systems, it may be a remnant of a previous installation and can be removed in line with your organization’s IT and compliance procedures.
JENOPTIK Robot BiffProcess is developed by JENOPTIK Robot GmbH. The most popular versions of this product among our users are: 2.0, 2.3 and 2.9. The name of the program executable file is BiffProcess.exe.
